Evening Clay - 3 months (30h)
Summary
Welcome to our ceramics pottery hand-building semester classes, where you'll discover the fundamental techniques for creating beautiful ceramic pieces. During these classes, you'll delve into the art of pinching, coiling, and slab work, gaining the skills you need to craft your creations.
Content
In this three-month workshop, you will learn the intricacies of hand-modeling techniques and have the opportunity to create your own pieces freely. You will discover how to build your creations, smooth and trim them in preparation for the first firing, and sand, paint, or glaze them before the final firing.
Organisation
Each workshop is divided into three sessions held on the 3 first Thursdays of each month. The last week of the month is designated as a catch-up week for any missed classes, provided the studio is open. Please verify the studio's availability in advance if you need to make up any missed classes. Example of the workshop organisation:
- Thursday January: 09 January, 16, and 23, from 18h30 until 21h
For a total of 3 months, 9 sessions, and 30 hours of practice in total. For the dates, please take a look at the Evening Clay schedule.
More information
To ensure a personalized learning experience, we limit each class to 4 participants, allowing plenty of dedicated time for questions and guidance. Following the completion of the workshops, you can look forward to picking up your finished pieces four weeks after the last session. Workshops are taught in English or French. You can catch up on one class per month. Catch-up classes are non-refundable if not taken.
